THE TRACK OF THE BIRDS UP TO THE DESERT'S
DOOR

this trip On the track of the birds
up to the desert's door, will bring you from Tunis
to the Grand Erg Oriental passing along the wetland
of Ichkeul near Bizerta, known for the migrating birds
who are staying there during the winter. You will observe
the White-Headed Duck in the Hammamet area and others specifically
water birds in the area of Monastir and Kairouan.
You will visit the National Park of Bouhedma, where
you will be delighted by the discovery of the curiosities
of the Tunisian savanna (birds adapted to the dryness of the
region, typical flora of the African savanna dominated by
acacia raddiana, specific fauna where far from human greed
and noise are living, ostrich, antelope, gazelle, reptiles
and so on…
In Tamarza, you will explore the mountain oases, where
migrating birds rest after crossing the Sahara and you'll
appreciate along the wetlands around Chott Jerid, several
species living on the shore and exploiting the natural richness.
In the Grand Erg Oriental, You will cross the dunes
to have a meeting with the Desert Sparrow, many species of
Wheatear, Hoopoe Lark, Sandgrouse, Cream-Coloured Courser...
and you will go out the Sahara through the rocky desert at
the National Park of Sidi Toui.
At the golf of Gabes and in the natural reserve
of the Kneïss isles you can watch several
water birds, 50 % of the waders spending winter in western
Meditteranean are living there. You can also observe many
species of gulls' specially the Slender-Billed Gull.
At Cap Bon, you will see the last stopping place of
the migrating birds towards Europe. Several other sites will
be watched too.

NATURE
SAFARI IN THE DESERT
Also taking 7 to 10 days, it depends on the period of the year,
this trip, Nature Safari in the desert,
starts in the idyllic isle Djerba
and will show you charm and richness of the Tunisian desert.
In the mountains of the south of Tunisia, the specific fauna
and flora of the rocky desert will be unveiled and you will
search for the Houbara Bustard, Gazelle Dorcas, Varans and many
others;. You will explore the eastern grand Erg and you will
discover at Ksar Ghilane and at the National Park of Jebil,
a fauna and flora that is typical for the sandy desert...
Along the Chott Jerid's wetland you will enjoy the sight
of the multiple species crowding the shores as numerous greater
of ducks and waders with a specifically meeting with the Ruddy
Shelduck and the Stone-Curlew. You will explore the oases of
the region of Tozeur and unveil some of their secrets.
In the National Park of Bouhedma, you'll make a safari
in the mountains to appreciate its geological beauties (canyons,

the Long Legged Buzzard, the Peregrine Falcon, Bonelli's Eagle,

NATURE
WALK FROM ICHKEUL TO THE KROUMERIE
This nature walk from Ichkeul
to the Kroumerie lasting 7 to 10 days will bring
you from Tunis to Tabarka
through the mountains of Moghod and of Kroumerie.
You will discover the capital Tunis and its historical
sites (Medina, Carthage, Sidi Bou Saïd,
and so on… ) and following your wishes the ornithological richness
of the wetland around Tunis.
You will visit the National Park of Ichkeul in Bizerta,
his ecologic museum and his karstic grottos. You will see the
White Stork in their nests in Sejnane. You will explore
the mountains of Moghod and of Kroumerie and you
will be visiting the nature reserve of Djebel Khroufa and the
peat bog of Dar Fatma. You will walk in the oak forest
of the Feidja National Park where you will see forest
birds like the typical Levaillant's Green Woodpecker, the Barbary
Deer's, small mammals, the orchids, mushrooms and other nice
curiosities.
In the forests of Beni M'Tir, you will visit the remainders
of the Numid civilization at Chemtou and Bulla Regia.
In the National Park of Zaghouan, you will admire the
